Personal

Married with one son, two stepsons, and one granddaughter. Grew up in poverty and abuse and am determined to work toward ending it for others. First generation in the family to graduate from high school. Dedicated to establishing nutrition, housing, healthcare, and education as basic human rights. Dedicated to re-establishing the separation of church and state and believe that freedom of religion should include freedom from religion (if one so desires) in a true secular state-otherwise the nominally secular state becomes a de facto theocracy.

In March 2005 defeated a 14-year incumbent to become county chairperson on the promise to reinvigorate the Democratic Party in Roosevelt County through dedication, innovation, and old fashioned hard work.
